F.F. Montresor (1862–1934) — for Frances Frederica (or Freda) — published ten novels between 1895 and 1913. 'Katherine the Queen' is a play about Catherine Parr. Miss Montresor was born in 1862 in Kent, the daughter of Admiral Frederick Byng Montresor (1811–1887) and Emily Maria Delafield. Like Sybil Tawse, she never married and also lived in Kensington, with her mother. They likely were friends. She died in 1934 in Sheffield.
